Drove home to MD with the kids for Easter. We left TN on Friday morning and then came back yesterday. While I was up there, it was difficult to get workouts in and remain motivated. So here's a little synopsis of what I DID accomplish:
3/21: 11 1/2 hours in a car with a 6-yr-old and 3-yr-old (AGH!)
3/22: 2.75 mile hill run
3/23: rousing Easter egg hunt
3/24: off
3/25: 2.75 mile hill run
3/26: awesome manicure, arm workout with stability ball
3/27: 2.75 mile hill run (sensing a pattern here?
3/28: 8.25 mile run
3/29: recovery!
3/30: 12 hours (!) in the car home
3/31: .25 walk, 3 mile run, .25 walk
Yep, that's right. Eight miles. I wasn't watching the clock for any of these runs, which I actually enjoy. It's about the endurance for me. I just want to get the base of mileage before I start working on speed. The 8-miler was fun -- I did 2.75 mile laps around my parents' neighborhood and each time I came around the bend to their house, my parents and the kids would be on the front porch waving colored dishtowels and cheering me on. My dad would come to the street with some water... it was kind of cool. Oh, and thank God for iPods!!!

Hey Erin, I am Karen's friend from work Stephanie aka 9201OB, which is the zip code where I live and the name of my town Ocean Beach all combined. I wanted to say congrats on the 8.25 mile run that is amazing and a great accomplishment!!! Keep it up!
