4.08 run with hills (just under 39:00)
1 mile cool down walk
stretch
Wow. I'm really proud of myself today. I drove the car around my run route to clock it (just to double check the USAT&F distance) and it came out to 4.08 miles. What I DIDN'T pay attention to, however, were the number and SIZE of the hills. Yeah. There were many and they were large. So it's raining and a little chilly and I set out up the first hill (right off the bat). Huffing and puffing, I made it and my thighs and booty were SCREAMING at me. I pushed on and hit a groove and finished the full 4.08 in just under 39:00 (I didn't put my stopwatch on, but I did watch the clock so I'm probably off by about 10 seconds one way or the other). I was really worried about running outside at all -- this is the first time I really have since I got out of the Army more than 6 years ago. But I did it, and when I as done, I felt like I could have gone around again... well, maybe walking a few of the hills, but hey! I'll take what I can get! I am een-veence-eeble!

awesome!!! Did the USATF distance seem right this time?
YYYEEEAAAHHH GIRL! CONGRATULATIONS, ERIN! Rob is gonna flip! You're gonna be a toned hot mama!
That's the hope -- toned hot mama! The USATF was closer -- I clocked it with my car again. It's off a little less than .1/mile. Close enough! I've decided that this hill course will be weekly thing but I'll stop it between 2 - 3 miles, depending. My heartrate was CRAZY at the tops of 3 of the hills. Next time, I'm going to run it backwards (the other way!) and see which was is worse.
: )
