yawn...Training Day 4

Tuesdays are the most grueling day for me, but the morning run definitely helps me get in gear. This morning I left the house at 5:40 and ran a quick one-mile lap around the neighborhood--at about 10:00 it was a little slower than my indoor runs, but since it's still pretty dark out at 5:40 I have to be careful of all the big cracks in the sidewalks :) Besides the grogginess I really enjoy being out at this hour of rare quiet and calm, in that little window before sunrise when the moon and stars are extra bright and the emptiness makes everything seem a little more wild.

I wore my pedometer to school today too, and it logged 3.88 miles. I know this thing low-balls me, though; I wore it on the treadmill last week and there was about a half-mile discrepancy between the two. But either way--between all that, classes, and commuting, I'm beat! I think we need to take up a collection for weekly massages...
