Day 11: R&R

Well I forced myself to take the day off today and it feels awesome. My body is very happy with me. The girl sitting next to me keeps sneezing, though, which is making me uncomfortable. Anyway, still did lots of walking today, and will probably stretch & do crunches this evening, but no morning run. So I'm sure I'll be super fresh and energized for tomorrow!

It's crazy to remember that back in November I could barely run 4 blocks continuously, and now I can run (at least) 3 miles without stopping! go body go! I feel like I've made an amazing amount of progress in the past few months, so I know the next 7 are going to bring about an equally miraculous change. That's what I have to keep remembering when the paralyzing fear of running 13.1 MILES hits me!

It's doable.... it really is. Seriously. I mean, I've never run 13 miles, but I've ruck marched further and I've run 10+ miles. There's a point somewhere in the middle where you just stop feeling it. It's like inertia kicks in and you just GO. And I've heard that the adrenaline of the race atmosphere helps push you the extra distance!
