Well, I did it--I woke up at 6:45 on a SATURDAY MORNING to run 7 miles. My bike ride to the gym was very chilly. The run itself was pretty awesome. The upside to running so early was that I had just had my coffee and was super alert and energized. I listened to the Dixie Chicks the whole time I ran.
Run: 7 miles @ 63:58
Walk: 1/2 mile
I was supposed to walk a full mile after the run, but I had to get home to shower before my friend came to pick me up. We went over to one of Sacramento's urban farms for a very interesting seminar on home-scale farming. I didn't have a chance to eat anything other than an apple before we left, so I was pretty hungry afterwards, but Dave wanted to go for a walk so I scarfed down a few bites of BBQ tofu and hit the road. We walked about 4-5 miles in some gnarly wind; Dave, Mickey and I were all sneezing uncontrollably by the time we got back home. I am now completely famished and planning to go chow down on some delicious Indian buffet. Also, I never ended up having that glass of wine last night, so I will be making up for it today.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Did you guys tie for first in your 5K?
