Running Shoes

Does anyone here swear by a particular running shoe? I've been asking my running friends, and Mizuno seems to have the most loyal following, followed by Brooks, then Asics. Stopped by Roadrunner sports this weekend to get videotaped and fitted. I'm biomechanically efficient (thank god), neutral, with normal arches. I was itching to buy a pair of Mizuno Wave Riders, but they didn't fit me right. Apparently, I have stubby and short but wide feet, and Mizunos are cut narrow, as are Brooks. Ah, settled for a pair of Asics 2130's - even though they are stability kicks, with Kids size memory foam insoles (again, stubby feet). Hope they do the trick.

Hey Pinky. I'm happy that you're biomechanically efficient. Congratulations. I wear Mizunos - Wave Inspire 4 and Wave Nirvana 4. I have a wide foot, but my running step is narrow. Joel used to wear Asics and New Balance, but he recently switched to Mizunos after an assessment by the people from RNJ sports. Joel has a SUPER WIDE foot. He got the Mizuno Wave Inspire 4 and the Mizuno Hurricane X.

Also, what are "Kids Size Memory Foam Insoles?"

Looks like we all share Frodo feet, in terms of width at least. I will definately keep those Mizunos in mind at time of next purchase. Memory foam insoles are just replacement insoles with more cushioning, more arch support, but made for kids' size feet.

Oh yea - Joel actually got the Saucony Hurricane X (not Mizuno).
